Job board: postings and alerts
The rules for posting a job without a Samwell account, and what we do with your information when you post a job or receive alerts.
Version of October 10, 2026
Posting a job
- Volunteer and internship postings are free.
- Other postings cost $179, plus taxes, for 60 days.
- Our team reviews each posting before it goes online. Payment happens only after approval: a declined posting costs nothing.
- The posting appears once it is approved and paid. Payment is made with Stripe; we never see your card.
Your responsibility
- You are responsible for the content of the posting and for following the laws of your province (posted pay, language, non-discrimination).
- Our automatic checks flag the most common omissions; they are not legal advice.
- We may decline or remove a posting that is misleading, illegal or not a real job.
Refunds
Write to us at [email protected] if your paid posting could not appear or was removed by mistake: we will refund you.
What we collect
- For a posting: its content, the organization name and the email of the person who manages it.
- For an alert: your email, your search, your language and the frequency you chose.
- To prevent abuse: a fingerprint of the IP address, never the full address.
How long we keep it
- An expired, removed or declined posting is erased 24 months later.
- An unconfirmed alert is erased after 7 days; a cancelled alert is erased immediately.
- Proof of your consent to alerts is kept 36 months after you unsubscribe, as the law requires.
Your choices and rights
Every alert email has a one-click unsubscribe link. To access, correct or have your information erased, write to [email protected]. The privacy policy applies for everything else.
