Frequently asked questions
Do volunteers count toward the price?
No. The price is based only on the number of paid employees. Volunteers, board members and unpaid interns never count.
Can a volunteer see other sign-ups or staff records?
No. A volunteer sees only their own schedule, never anyone else’s and never staff records.
Can we require a background check?
Yes. A shift can require a valid check to sign up. Samwell keeps the status and dates of the check, never the content of the report. Checks due for renewal within 60 days appear in your To do list.
How do we prove volunteer hours?
Confirmed hours are counted and feed your indicators. You can hand out a volunteer hours certificate in PDF.
Where can we post a volunteer opportunity?
On the Samwell Job board, free of charge, even if your organization is not a client.
